Why natural and not common commercial soap?

They contain natural ingredients like natural oils, essential oils, herbs, natural colours, all of which have beneficial properties for the skin.

They do not contain synthetic chemical substances like surfactants, synthetic perfumes, thickening agents or preservatives etc.

Our liquid products are real soap and not bath foams. They do not contain chemical foaming agents or added chemical substances or artificial scents. They are made with natural oils and essential oils, primarily organic.

The glycerine that naturally occurs during the soap making process remains in the body of the natural soap, resulting in its beneficial moisturizing effects to reach the skin. Glycerine is the most popular and natural moisturizing ingredient in the industry and during the commercial soap making it is removed so that it can be sold separately as a prime ingredient for cosmetics and medicine production. The product remaining after the glycerine is removed causes dry and irritated skin.

All of our soaps, liquid and bars, are made with consideration for over-lubrication. This means that a small amount of oil or butter used to make the soap remains in the product. This lubricant element has excellent moisturizing and softening effects. This way the alkalinity of the soap helps clean the skin while the over-lubrication sooths and nourishes it.

Which method do you use for the handmade soaps?

We use the “cold process” for our soap making, which involves processing in mild temperatures, which allows perseverance of the beneficial to the skin elements and the occurring glycerine to remain in the soap.

Do handmade soaps cure before being distributed?

Yes, all handmade soaps cure for at least 4 weeks before they are available for distribution. During the curing period the saponification process continues and the water content evaporates partially.

Why should I use Sirra Organics liquid soap for my body and face and not a common commercial shower gel or body wash that might be cheaper?

It is produced from pure organic ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, castor oil, essential oils, with many properties for our skin and our health.

Just like our solid handmade soaps, they are produced with "superfatting" in the recipe, with the result that the oils used and left over from the saponification process transfer their properties to our skin. Emollient, rejuvenating, antiaging, antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal properties.

They do not contain synthetic surfactants (chemical foaming agents) such as SLS, SLES, thickeners, chemical pH regulators, water softeners and other chemical ingredients, which hide many risks for our skin.

They do not contain preservatives with the known negative effects on our body. Because they contain a large percentage of glycerin in their composition, resulting in the rich hydration of our skin.

Why use essential oils and not common perfumes?

We produce simple, pure and natural products.

Essential oils are natural ingredients of aromatic plants and herbs, made by distilling.

In addition to their perfume they also provide many other properties (antimicrobial, antifungal, antiseptic).

The common perfumes used in most other products are mainly synthetics attempting to imitate the essential oils’ perfume.

All Sirra Organic’s products contain essential oils, the majority of which are certified organic products and not synthetics.

Does your process comply with the regulatory requirements?

Our company is licensed by National Organisation for Medicines. Before items are available to consumers, we notify all the required information on the European Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP) as dictated by regulation 1223/EK/2009.

Do you perform any animal testing?

We follow regulation 1223/EK/2009 which prohibits testing on animals of our ingredients or final products and we do not perform any animal testing nor do we use ingredients that have been used in animal testing.

Are all your products Vegan?

All of our products are vegetarian and most are vegan. The only products not vegan are the Handmade Soap “Goat Milk-Honey-Oatmeal” and the Liquid Soap “Honey Love”.

Why should I choose Sirra Organics Lavender-Eucalyptus Dog Shampoo and Dog Shampoo Bar over another dog shampoo?

They are made of natural-organic oils (extra virgin olive oil, baobab oil, coconut oil, castor oil), essential oils (lavender, eucalyptus, lemongrass, rosemary), herbs (chamomile-calendula) and do not contain potentially dangerous to health and skin chemical surfactants, thickeners, silicones, preservatives, etc.
